Rolling, Rolling, Rolling!!!

Okay, so now that mommy has seen it with her own two eyes....three times today, by the way, it's official! I have mastered the roll from my belly to my back! I actually rolled over for the first time about 2.5 weeks ago but mommy kinda missed it. She saw the before (me on my belly) and the after (me on my back) but she missed the actual rolling action. Mommy was organizing in my closet while I was playing with toys on my bedroom floor....and rolling!!!! :) She didn't believe I had actually rolled over since she didn't see it and she was playing mind games with herself all day wondering if she really put me on my belly or if she put me on my back. The next day daddy had me on my belly while mommy was running on the treadmill and guess what! I rolled over for daddy...and mommy missed it again. So for the past two weeks, mommy has been putting me on my belly and cheering me on to roll over and though I got very close many times, I just couldn't make it all the way over...until today!!! And boy did I make mommy happy when I finally rolled over for her!!! :)

Another good thing I should note today....mommy took me to visit my soon to be sitter, Suzy. Suzy is such a very nice lady and she already loves me so much. She has a great house with lots of toys and a big, fenced in back yard filled with toys which I can't wait to play with! Mommy has been taking me to visit Suzy for little periods of time a couple days a week over the past couple weeks so Suzy and I get to know each other. I haven't been the happiest when we have visited Suzy's. I pretty much have the "pout" mastered. When I see a strange face or a strange place, I stick out my bottom lip and then usually follow that up with some tears. So when we would get to Suzy's, I would do my "pout" and fuss in Suzy's arms. Now that I have seen Suzy a few times, I decided to be happy in Suzy's arms today and I actually even cuddled with her a little! :) This also made mommy very happy!!!

House-hunting!

Mommy and I have been saying lots of prayers to God that we sell our house soon and find a new house that we love soon too! This house-selling business and house-hunting business is really not too fun and kinda stressful. Lots of times I don't get to take my naps when I need to because we have to be out of our house for a showing. Usually we just go out for a stroll but when I'm sleepy I'm not very happy. Mommy sings ABC's to me and that calms me down, the only problem is mommy has to keep on singing them to me to keep me calm and happy. One night we had a showing that lasted over an hour...betcha can't guess how many times mommy sang the ABC's (I think mommy lost count too). Also, when mommy, daddy, and I go look at houses that usually keeps me up way past my nap time too. Whew, it's exhausting! And mommy and daddy originally planned to not move until mommy was pregnant again with my little brother or sister (so not for awhile). Good thing they decided to try now instead...I'm sure this would be so much rougher is mommy was pregnant! Please say some prayers that this house stuff works out!

This weekend was especially busy, we went out house-hunting Saturday and were gone for over 4 hours! Boy did I have a really good nap when we got home!

Sunday we had two showings so we spent alot of time strolling and singing!

Bailey is exhausted too! He was trying to catch some zzzzzz's in between our showings yesterday using his bunny as a pillow.

I wore my new outfit from Dick and Debbie (my cousin Addison's grandma and grandpa) on Saturday!

Aunt Kristi, Uncle Dustin, Cousin Addison and Cousin Wrigley's visit

Friday evening my Aunt Kristi and Uncle Dustin, Cousin Addison and Cousin Wrigley came to visit me. Daddy and Uncle Dustin went to the Indians game while mommy, Aunt Kristi, and my cousins, Bailey, and me played! We only got to play for a short while and then it was bedtime. After we went to bed the mommies talked and watched TV (gymnastics) like old times. Bailey and Wrigley (Buzz is his new nickname...kinda a coincidence because cousin Wrigley got stung by a bee a few weeks ago..right on his little nose). :( Saturday, mommy, daddy, and I went to Ben and Kylie's new house for a quick dinner. Quick is mommy and daddy's new most used word...every where we go and everything we do is much quicker now. Ben made his famous pizza and it was delicious!!! And their new house is sooo nice!

My 4 month stats!

Yesterday at my pediatrician appointment, I weighed 13 pounds, 5 ounces and I am 24.5 inches long. My weight is in the 25th percentile and my height is in the 50th percentile. I spent most of the time talking to my pediatrician, Dr. Sangree. Even when mommy and daddy were trying to talk to her, I just kept on talking and when I felt like they couldn't hear me, I just talked louder and louder! At one point it seemed as if we were all shouting so we could hear eachother. :) Everything went good with Dr. Sangree. She said I looked GREAT! She also said I can start on cereal and veggies in about a month or so. Mommy is going to make my baby food for me (with the exception of my cereal) and I am so excited to see what it tastes like! I will report back on the subject when I am about 5 months old. After Dr. Sangree left the room another lady walked in with my shots. I had to get 2 shots again and boy did they hurt. I was not very happy but mommy tried to give me a paci (which I usually don't like) to soothe me and I was just sucking away on it. When we got home, I was sleeping in my car seat still sucking on my paci! It made my boo-boo's feel alot better!

This morning I slept until 10:30 (the shots have really worn me out) and I woke up not real happy. I was sad this morning and was running a fever (102.6). Mommy called the pediatrician and they said that a fever is not uncommon for a day or so after the vaccines and if Tylenol doesn't bring it down to call back. I cried myself to sleep in mommy's arms and she rocked me for awhile so we could cuddle. I took a great nap....I may have even set a new record for myself...FOUR HOURS!!!! And I may have slept longer but mommy wanted to make sure I didn't have a burning high fever so she came in and felt my head which may have led to me waking up. Well, I'm not scheduled to go back to the pediatrician for 2 months so I will have another weight and height update then! YAY, no shots for 2 months!!! :)

Gammy's visit!

Well, I am refreshed.....I just woke from a 2hour and 45 minute nap! And mommy says that I haven't been taking the best naps the past week+. Well, I have to admit I have not been a consistent good napper lately...most of the time it's just a 30-45 minute nap...and every now and then I'll throw in a 2 hour nap just to keep mommy on her toes! This afternoon was one of those times! Mommy and gammy wore me out this morning by taking me to daddy's work so I could see Gramps, Aunt Heather, daddy of course, and all of daddy's great co-workers! I was exhausted when we got home so I took a nice snooze! Plus, I know I'm going to have an eventful pediatrician visit later this afternoon so I thought I better rest up for that too. How much do you think I weigh???? :)

Okay, back to the title of this entry. My gammy just left me and mommy and Bailey...again. It's so great when gammy comes to visit but then it's so sad when she leaves. We wish gammy could stay here with us in Cleveland FOREVER! :( Well, gammy's visit was wonderful. Gammy got to play with me alot and talk to me alot too. I just have the best time talking to gammy! We did alot of tummy time, some strolls, some sitting and lots of entertaining with my toys that I take straight to my mouth when I can get a grip on them! I just loved looking at gammy when she was around and always smiled and giggled a couple times too! I miss gammy so much already and can't wait to see her again soon!!! I love you gammy! SO MUCH!

I just couldn't wait....

All the excitement in my new bathtub really made me have to go potty so as mommy was taking her time drying me and talking to me, I decided I just couldn't wait any longer for mommy to put my diaper on....so I just went potty on my towel (YUCK, I know....please don't remind me about this on my graduation day or wedding day)! :) Mommy thought maybe I would like to read a magazine while I went so daddy let me borrow his Men's Health!!!

My first bath in my baby bathtub!

Well, my yellow teddy sponge is starting to get pretty old and is having trouble hiding the fact so we decided to try a bath in my little bathtub (that sits in the big bathtub) last night. My little bathtub is neat in the fact that one side is for infants (like me!) who can't sit up yet so it has a reclining back and the other side is for toddlers (or for me once I can sit up on my own). But I think I am such a big boy now and can sit up so I am ALWAYS trying. I try when you hold me, I try in my bouncer, in my car seat, in my stroller, and yes in my bathtub too. Mommy thought I looked really uncomfortable the entire bath because I just kept on trying to sit up but I really wasn't that uncomfortable. Mommy says that my bath should be my relaxing time to help prepare me to unwind and fall asleep for the night so she is having second thoughts about going back to my teddy sponge. Mommy was also a little sad for me because when I took my baths on my teddy sponge, I use to stick my feet under the running water out of the faucet and really liked doing that and in my bathtub I can't do that. I think I may be taking a bath on my yellow teddy sponge tonight!!! :) YAY!!!

Learning to sit in my big boy chair!

Now that my neck is getting stronger and I can hold my head up pretty good, I am advancing on to learning how to sit! I have this really cool orange chair...called a bebepod. It comes with a tray too so when I can start eating snacks I can rest my snacks on my tray. It also comes with a really neat toy that spins around, makes noise, and is so colorful! Mommy and gammy sat me in my pod on the counter the other day and I was having a great time sitting there watching them. Yes, we all know the counter is no-no but they did not walk away from me so I was nice and safe. Plus being up high on the counter helped me keep my head up because I was so interested in looking around at mommy and gammy.

I want to eat everything!!!

This week I have just about perfected grabbing my toys and bringing them to my mouth so now that I know how to do it...that is all I want to do. When I am on my activity mat...I want to eat my toys and mommy brings them down to my reach so I can! When I am in my bouncer...I want to eat my toy monkey and toy parrot....however in this case they don't detach and they don't quite reach my mouth. This has been very frustrating for me and my bouncer was once a place I use to love to be and now I get frustrated in it because I can't eat Mr. Monkey and Mr. Parrot!!!

Cookout with Gramps and Evelyn!!!

Yesterday was such a wonderful day!!! The weather was BEAUTIFUL...soooo sunny (mommy says those are her favorite kind of days)! I slept until 11:30am!!! And the most wonderful thing of all that made yesterday such a good day was that my Gramps and Evelyn came over for a cookout and to visit! I didn't take the best naps yesterday but it was because I knew I had company and I wanted to visit with them instead of be in my room all by myself. I sat in my Gramps lap for a while and I was just so comfy...just relaxing and snacking on my hand! I even wore "my lucky t-shirt" onesie that Gramps and Evelyn got me from Vegas!!! Thanks for coming over Gramps and Evelyn! :)

Let me show you how strong my neck is getting!!!

Just in the past two weeks my neck has become so strong. I can pick my head up nice and high and push my chest up with my arms during tummy time. It is so much more fun now that I can see all of the interesting things around me instead of having my face stuck in my activity mat because my head was just too heavy to lift up! I love looking at mommy, daddy, and Bailey during tummy time! Bailey is especially interesting for a couple reasons. No. 1 Bailey jingles!!! Bailey's tags on his collar jingle and make lots of noise when he walks around. No. 2 whenever I am doing tummy time, Bailey thinks we want to play with him too. Maybe because we are down at his level...or maybe because mommy is usually showing me all of my fun toys attached to my activity mat so Bailey wants to show us all of his toys too. During tummy time, Bailey typically empties his whole toy basket from the other room by bringing us his toys, one by one. Since Bailey is constantly on the move and making noise with every move he makes, I usually can't take my eyes off him!!! I just can't wait until I'm on the move too and can follow Bailey around!
Another thing that I love to look at during tummy time is...MYSELF! I just love looking at my reflection in the mirror...I am just SO HANDSOME!!! Well, I know, I actually don't know it's me I am looking at..but what I do know is the baby in the reflection is so much fun to talk to and giggle and smile at!!!

Just enjoying being cozy in a towel after my bath!

I love my nightly baths...everything about them; laying on my yellow bear sponge with a warm washcloth on my tummy, sticking my feet under the water coming from the faucet (and then pulling them away really quick), making it hard for mommy to wash my hands because I clench my fists really tight, mommy squeezing water on me from my washcloth, being wrapped in a nice soft towel afterwards, getting my hair (that mommy says is made of silk) brushed and being lubed up nice and good with lotion!
