Mommy and Daddy's Post!

Before you were conceived I wanted you.
Before you were born I loved you.
Before you were here an hour I would die for you.
This is the miracle of life.

Weekend in Columbus - Boo at the Zoo!!!

Sunday, was a beautifully sunny day (though a little chilly early) so we headed to the Columbus Zoo for Boo at the Zoo!!! I got dressed in my Halloween costume which is a duck!!! I am a natural at "Quacking" so this costume fits me perfectly!

After a short drive, we arrived!

We got packed up in the wagon and headed in to the zoo!

Cousin Addison is going to be the cutest ladybug around this Halloween!

And me, well, the most handsome duck around, of course!
We stopped for a quick picture with Mr. Jack-o-lantern!
Then said hello to the Flamingos!
The monkey!
The Gorillas! The Gorillas were soooo cool! They were very interactive and were even giving us kisses through the glass!

Aunt Kristi gave them a kiss back!
Next, we saw the Bonobo's! We arrived just in time for lunch! Though, we passed! It's a little deceiving....they really aren't eating Wheat Thins and Oatmeal, it's actually carrots and lettuce in empty boxes!
They were sooo interesting to watch though....I was in awe!

This is the baby Bonobo (munching on a carrot)!

Excuse my invasion of Mr. Bonobo's privacy but their "bottoms" were very "unique" (to put it nicely), I just had to show you!
This Bonobo was the smart one of the group. He gathered all of his food and hid it under the hay on a slide! He would secretly go to it, uncover it, grab a piece and quickly cover it back up again!

Next we rode the horses!

Looking for mommy! "WHOA, these horses go fast!"
We ended at the aquarium where we saw lots of fish and received a few pieces of candy (and a little bag of pretzels)! Mommy gave me the pretzels and guess who got the candy! :) Thanks for keeping me healthy mommy!
Unfortunately, the Zoo led us to the end of our fun weekend! The time to say good-bye to everyone came too quick! We had a great time though and always look forward to next time! I asked for Addie (and continue to 4 days later) a gazillion times. I know it breaks my mommy's heart but she puts a smile on her face and says, "Addie's at her home, sweet boy (that's me!), but we'll see her very soon!" I will just be that much more excited to see her again since I have to wait!

Weekend in Columbus - Playing With My Cousin, Addie!

After our tailgating party, Addison and I played at her house! We had such a great time together and were INSEPARABLE!!!

Just look at us!

We bathed together.

We colored together.

We read together.

We went swimming at the Worthington Rec Center and they had a fantastic pool!
There was a splash zone where Addison and I could fill up our watering cans!

A basketball hoop for us to shoot baskets!

I practiced the front crawl!
Relaxed in a floaty!
Went through the lazy river with mommy!
And there was even a slide just our size for Addison and I to go down!
INSEPARABLE, like I said earlier!

Mommy didn't want to miss out on the fun of going down the slide!

Weekend in Columbus - My First Buckeyes Tailgate!

Mommy, daddy, Bailey, and I headed down for what was an ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL weekend in Columbus this past weekend! Gammy met us in Columbus too so we (mommy, daddy, Bailey, Aunt Kristi, Uncle Dustin, Addison, Wrigley, Gammy, and myself) were all together!!!! Friday afternoon/evening we spent playing at the house!

Saturday morning we headed to my (and I think cousin Addison's) first tailgate!!! Mommy and daddy were so excited to show me where they went to college as this is an extra-special place for them. This isn't only the place they spent 4 years making great friends, having the time of their lives, cheering on the Buckeyes, and of, course, learning a little too (I mean, gaining a vast amount of knowledge) but this is also the place where my mommy and daddy met and fell in love!

Addison and I were all bundled up for a typical chilly, late fall tailgate. We enjoyed the scenic views of part of Ohio State's Campus and got a close up of "The Shoe." This didn't look like any "shoe" I have ever seen or worn (not even daddy's size 14 shoes)! But nonetheless, it was quite a site! Mommy and daddy later explained to me that it wasn't the type of shoe you wear on your foot but it is actually referred to as "The Horseshoe" and many people shorten it to "The Shoe." I further learned, that it is called "The Horseshoe" because at one point in time and for many, many years, the stadium was in the shape of a horseshoe with one of the ends being open. However, Ohio State (and the Buckeyes) have grown to be a very large college and a very popular football team that they had to add seats to the open end of the stadium now making it closed (and hence, taking away the "horseshoe" shape but the nickname will always remain).

Addison and I enjoyed tailgating where we ate our snacks, walked around to see all of the excited people, and met some of mommy and daddy's friends!

All bundled up, riding in the wagon, enjoying the sites.

Stopping for a few pictures in front of "The Shoe!"

Enjoying our snacks on Gammy's lap. Addison is a very good sharer!
LOVING cuddling with Gammy!
"So mommy, this is how "excited" people act!?!?!"
MY mommy!
Our family, back at the place where it all began!
Mommy's good friend, Corinne!
I loved Corinne!
Mommy's good friend, Nicole!
Everyone having a good time at the bar! (I was partied out and back at Aunt Kristi's napping).
