The Coolest Grocery Cart In Town!

I spotted the coolest car grocery cart outside Giant Eagle this week (mind you, I spotted this from half way down the parking lot a second after I got out of the car) and of course insisted mommy use it. Can you picture my pregnant mommy trying to maneuver this monster of a grocery cart through the grocery!?!?! It was not an easy task, especially toward the end of our shopping trip after many pounds of groceries were added! Oh, and what's that in the Target bag, you ask?!?! My potty, of course! It goes everywhere with us until I get over my fear of sitting on the big potty. No rush though since those public potties are covered with germs and other yucky things!!!

Mowing The Grass With Daddy!

I LOVE mowing the grass with daddy and it is probably one of the cutest things to watch!!! So, mommy got it on video (of, course)!!! Enjoy!

(I'm so serious and concentrated when I am mowing)! :)

Mommy's Belly at 28 weeks!

Can you believe that mommy is already in the 3rd trimester?!?! We sure can't! Time has flown by at jet speed! Just a little over 2 months left...yikes!!! J/K, I am so excited for my baby sister to arrive we just have alot still to prepare before she does!
Her nursery being #1 - the design is picked out, now we just need to hire someone to paint, order fabric, hire someone to make the bedding and window coverings, receive her chandelier and get it installed, and transfer the nursery furniture from my room to her room!
My big boy room being # 2 - my furniture is ordered and AWESOME! Now it's just a matter of waiting oh, 8 weeks for it to come in and then of course, convincing me that I want to and can sleep in a big boy bed (I don't even want to get started on mommy's emotions relating to this whole big boy bed issue and I know every time mommy thinks about it she wants to ball her eyes out. I hope I adjust well!) My new big boy bedding has arrived! Mommy and daddy also ordered me the coolest bean bag chair ever (hopefully) and we are waiting on it's arrival. The bean bag chair is huge and will accommodate both me and either mommy or daddy (and maybe even all 3 of us) and replace my rocking chair so my baby sister can have it. I don't always like sitting in my rocking chair to read books and sometimes just want mommy or daddy to sit on the floor and read to me so hopefully the new bean bag chair will be a fine replacement for my rocking chair.
Me being #3 - Besides having to adjust to a big boy bed before my baby sister arrives, I also need to adjust to the fact that I will not have mommy and daddy's undivided attention at all times and that mommy and daddy will not be able to attend to me the second I demand it.....oh, boy!
These are probably the 3 biggest things that we still need to do but I am leaving out the gazillion other things that are on our list, as well, so with as busy as we will be the next two months I am sure time is going to fly even faster...which means mommy and daddy, you really should make it a priority to get all the back-up plans/resources in place for if mommy goes into labor while daddy you are at work, or in the middle of the night, or in the best case scenario on a weekend day when we are all at home together.

Mommy is still feeling good! As you can see her belly continues to grow (mostly outwards). :) And other than the occasional ache in her legs and the extra few seconds it takes for her to move from point A to B there really isn't too much else to report.

Swim lessons!

I started swim lessons on Saturday, June 19 and they will last for 7 weeks! Some of our pool rules are a little bit silly/extremely ridiculous mommy says. She is specifically referring to the one that says you can't take pictures! Come on, mommy's and daddy's want to take pictures of their little fishies learning to swim and having fun at the pool! Mommy says it's really sad that this is what it has come to....meaning there are alot of not so good people who do alot of not so good things and the whole picture taking restriction is only to protect me and the other children who swim at the pool. So we abide by the rule (usually)! Mommy just wanted to snap a few quick pics of me before lessons started...just this once, we promise!

Waiting for my lesson to begin and fueling up on some good 'ole Cheerios!
Trying to be patient but I'm slowly inching my way backwards towards the pool!!!! :)

Playing In My Sprinkler!

My Aunt Lori, Uncle Shawn, and Grandpa Sacksteder gave me one very cool sprinkler for my birthday this year. Mommy took it out a few weeks ago and got it all blown up. We chose a very warm summer day to test it out and it was so fun!

A few days with Addie!

Mommy and I spent last Tuesday and Wednesday down in Columbus with Addie, Aunt Kristi, Uncle Dustin, and baby Chase. We all had a great time playing together! Addie showed me her new swing set which is very cool, we played at the sand table, ran around like typical 2 year olds laughing our heads off, we went to a splash pad and a park and the zoo (on a extremely hot 95 degree day)! But though we were all dripping with sweat it was soooo worth it. We road a train and saw the brand new Polar Bear exhibit. The Polar Bears were SO NEAT as was the train ride, of course!!! I also enjoyed entertaining and making baby Chase smile by dancing around him with Addie and giving him lots of kisses right where mommy showed me to (on his forehead)! I'm so lucky to get to "practice" being a big brother. I should have it all perfected by the time my baby sister arrives! I miss you Addie and can't wait to see you again in a few weeks!!! Will you just come move next door to me.....PULEASEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!?!?!?!

Cooling off at the splash pad!
Playing at the park!
Where should we go Addie?!?!
Hold on tight!
Riding the helicopter!
Relaxing and enjoying a cold drink of water!

My 2nd Dentist Visit

I had my 2nd dentist appointment on Saturday, June 27th. Dr. Parrish is my dentist and she is super nice and just loves me and MY TEETH! She said my teeth are just wonderful! Though, Dr. Parrish is so friendly, really it's not my favorite place to be....to sit in the dentist chair and have her poking around in my mouth. I throw a fit and then it's over before I know it. I gladly and quickly say bye-bye to the dentist, accept my new toothbrush, pick out a few toys from the toy table and walk...I mean run out the door!

Potty Training and My Big Boy Underwear!

Mommy decided the evening of Thursday, June 10th that she was going to start potty training with me on Friday, June 11th. Gammy had given mommy some papers on a method called "potty training boot camp" a while ago for her to read when it was time to potty train me. Mommy had tucked these papers away in her nightstand drawer and pulled them out to read one night that week. After discussing it with daddy, they decided it was worth a try! Friday morning mommy showed me my new big boy underwear (Cars underwear, my favorite) and told me that I wasn't going to wear diapers anymore because my baby sister was going to need them and that I was going to wear big boy underwear from now on. She told me that I was to keep my underwear dry and go pee-pee and poo-poo in the potty. Friday morning we spent every 10 minutes going pee-pee on the potty. I was rewarded with all kinds of goodies and presents (ie. fruit snacks "gummies", mini-cookies, and hot wheels). I had 2 accidents that morning. Friday afternoon we gradually got to about every 20 minute intervals between pee-peeing on the potty and I had 1 accident Friday afternoon. Saturday morning I had 1 accident. Ever since, I have been doing AWESOME!!!! I keep my underwear dry most of the time and only have an accident on the rare occasion.

Pooping on the potty.....well that is a different story. I am not so good at that part....I am not sure why so I can't tell mommy and daddy which is very frustrating for all of us. Mommy has read, talked to alot of people, and has also called the pediatrician on this matter. It seems like the general consensus is that many children are afraid to poop in the potty for all kinds of silly reasons to adults but very real and serious reasons to us little one's. I am probably on the younger side of being potty trained for a boy so it will probably be some time still before I am comfortable with pooping on the potty. Mommy and daddy are fine with this and just encourage me to continue to try. Though they would love for me to poop in the potty, the last thing they want is for me to start withholding so they are very calm and supportive of me pooping wherever and however I am comfortable right now (despite having to clean up a little bit of a mess).

Mommy and daddy are so proud of me, they are just beaming!!! And I am sooooo proud of myself!!

Day 1 of potty training. I am wearing my big boy underwear and "Bear" is wearing a pair too! (I also picked out a pair for my baby sister with lots of cars on them! They were sitting on the counter for the day).

Another day: posing and showing off my underwear!

Mommy's Belly at 26 weeks!

Nothing new to report. Mommy is continuing to grow and feel great! My baby sister seems to always be on the go!!! If you're really paying attention you can see mommy's belly move as she moves.

I too want to pose like mommy, with my shirt up, showing off my belly, standing by the same exact wall mommy stands by when daddy takes her picture!

Memorial Day Weekend 2010!!!

I had the most wonderful Memorial Day Weekend!!! I don't know why it is but every time we spend the weekend in Dayton we always have SO MUCH fun!!! I just love being at Gammy and Poppy's house and so does Bailey and mommy and daddy too! I think mommy actually suggested this weekend for us to move in with Gammy and Poppy.....not only because we love being there so much but more so because I typically sleep in at Gammy and Poppy's house well past the time I wake up at home! :) The highlights of the weekend were: being with Gammy and Poppy (of course), getting to spend 2 full days with Addie, Aunt Kristi, Uncle Dustin, baby Chase and Wrigley, seeing Aunt Lori and Grandpa Sacksteder and all of my other wonderful family, helping Poppy cut the grass, playing in the pool and sprinkler with Addie, getting my FIRST ice cream cone (vanilla with sprinkles in a sugar cone...YUM-O), running through the water fountains, celebrating Gammy's birthday, getting my face painted, going to Maren's graduation party, my FIRST popsicle, AND my first train ride was the icing on the cake!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was a HUGE help! :)

Gammy and Poppy gave me a new swim towel (it's a monster!) and new rain boots!
Do I make your heart melt or what?!?! I have a feeling this isn't the last I see of this picture. It may come out years from now on my wedding day!
