My trip to Gammy and Poppy's house!!!

I had a fun-filled weekend visiting my Gammy and Poppy in Dayton! It was my first time at their house and I just had the best time!!! I have to tell you all about it..... Well, we left for Dayton Friday afternoon around my nap time...well actually it was a bit past my nap time so I was really tired. I fell asleep right about when we were getting on the highway and slept for 2.5 hours! It was great because I woke up and we only had about an hour to go! We stopped so mommy could feed me and then mommy sat in the backseat and entertained me the rest of the way. When we got to gammy and poppy's it was about time for me to go to sleep again but I was just too excited to see my gams and poppy so I stayed up for a little while and talked their ears off. I was just telling them all about our ride down and what mommy, daddy, Bailey, and I have been doing back home. Then mommy gave me a bath and put me down for the night. Gammy got a pack-n-play for me to sleep in (and my cousin Addison when she visits) and I slept great in it!

Saturday, mommy, daddy, gammy, Bailey, and I hung out while poppy worked. Aunt Lori came to visit for a while and once again I talked everyone's ears off on Saturday (I just love telling stories and chatting with anyone who will listen...sometimes I keep talking even if no one is around)! :) Gammy, Bailey, mommy, daddy, and I went for a stroll to the park around the corner from Gammy's. The park had a couple baby swings so I got to swing for my first time. Gammy stuffed towels in the swing though because I am still a little too small for them...but it worked and it was fun! The park has so much fun stuff to do but I'm not quite big enough...but when I get bigger it is going to be soooo much fun playing there!! That night I had dreams of running around, swinging and sliding with my cousin Addison when we are visiting gams and poppy!!!

Then we went to great-grandma and great-grandpa's for a quick visit. Great-grandpa held me for a little while and we chatted. Great-grandpa tells really funny stories so we were just having a ball! Mommy forgot her camera though so I'm going to have to get a picture with great-grandpa next time. Then we went home so poppy could hang out with me for a little before I went to bed.

On Sunday we went to my Aunt Bec and Uncle Bo's house in Caesar Creek. It's actually mommy's aunt and uncle but they are way too young and cool to put a "great" in front of. They have the coolest house..the stone house people call it....uncle Bo built it all by himself (pretty much....a few friends and his brothers helped a little I think). It took him almost 10 years. He was working while building his house so he just worked on it in his spare time (ie. every minute when he wasn't working). He also has a huge greenhouse and a pool house and a pool....once again he built all of this by himself....even the pool! Most of mommy's family was there for the pool party so I got to hang out with all of my aunts, uncles (great's...even though we don't call them great's and my regular aunt and uncle (Kristi and Dustin)), my cousin Addison, and lots of my second and third cousins. Mommy dressed me in my crab swim trunks and crab tee-shirt and my hat that Shari (mommy works with Shari) gave me so I could go swimming! Mommy took me in with her and dipped my feet and legs in. It was a little chilly compared to my baths but I loved it! It was very, very sunny out so I had to borrow my cousin Addison's shades!!! I didn't swim for long because mommy didn't want me out in the sun too long so my precious skin doesn't get any of those bad, bad things the sun can give. I had a great day hanging by the pool, swimming, and yes....talking to all of my family!! I was so busy talking to everyone that the day just flew by. I just had so much fun...I can't wait for the next pool party!

I was exhausted and fell asleep as soon as we pulled out of the driveway and it's a good thing I did b/c then mommy, daddy, and gammy witnessed something horrible. Mommy is actually writing this part because she said I am not allowed to know what happened....and mommy's not going to go into too much detail but she will give you a little summary of the horrible event. As we were pulling out of Bec and Bo's neighborhood, there was a car pulled off on the side of the road and a man walking in the grass toward a deer (a baby deer) that he had just hit....oh those poor deer, I wish they would look before they crossed the street! Well this all happened in just a matter of seconds but I (Noah's mommy) (and gammy, and daddy too) witnessed this man put the deer out of it's pain from being hit by the car. I about lost everything I ate at the party and immediately had tears running down my cheeks. It was an awful, awful thing to witness (and yes, I know that the deer would have just layed there and suffered for hours and the man thought he was doing the deer a favor...but I just wished I would not have seen it). I said two prayers to God as I drove away crying. First I asked God to please let that deer go to heaven and then I thanked God that Noah was still a baby and too young to see what had just happened because if a child had witnessed that they wouldn't of understood why it happened. Then I tried my hardest to put the images out of my head so I could concentrate on driving. We got back to gammy's, I gave Noah a bath, kissed my little angel a million times, and put him down for bed around 8:30. All the swimming (and talking) :) he did must have seriously worn him out because he didn't wake until 9:30am!!!! He ate a little and went back to sleep until 11am!!!!

Okay, mommy said I could write again. Today we had to leave gammy's and go back to Cleveland. Gammy and I played a little this morning and then we got in the car around my nap time. The trip back was similar to the trip down... I slept for a little over 2 hours again...we stopped so I could eat and then mommy sat in the back and entertained me for the last hour!

After we got home, mommy got a call from Gammy who told her that my Aunt Mickey had her baby today!!! It's her fifth child and Mickey was at the pool party yesterday lounging in the pool with her big belly. She just looked so relaxed...she must have know yesterday was her last day to do that for a while!!! :) Mickey had a baby boy today!!! YEAH!!!! Another playmate!!!! :) Baby boy Haines doesn't have a name yet but he is going to be a great playmate/cousin (2nd, that is) of mine...I just know it!!! Baby boy Haines was 10 pounds, 6 ounces and 23 inches long!!! Can you imagine what her belly looked like yesterday?!?!? :)

My Baptism

My baptism was this past Sunday, July 13th. Lots of my family came up from Dayton just for the day which meant that they spent at least 8 hours in the car to make the trip for my special day. My Gammy and Poppy came and my Aunt Lori and Shawn and even my Great Grandma came! My Aunt Kristi and Uncle Dustin came too, from Columbus, and they were an extra important part of the day because they are my Godparents... and of course my cousin Addison came too! Most of my daddy's family in Cleveland came too. And it just so happened to work out that my Nana moved back to Cleveland just in time and she was able to come too!!! My daddy's friends Sonny and Bruce and Lindsey came too. It meant so much to me and so so so much to mommy and daddy that all of the people who are most important to them were there!!!

Mommy and daddy are a little unique given the fact that mommy is Catholic and daddy is Jewish so mommy and daddy are going to teach me lots about the Catholic religion and lots about the Jewish religion so I learn about both. That is a special thing I get in my life and I am so excited to learn about both mommy and daddy's religions! But what's most important to mommy and daddy is to teach me to have FAITH and to believe in the POWER OF PRAYER. There have been so many times in mommy and daddy's lives that have been difficult or trying for one reason or another and they had faith that things would be okay and prayed alot and both of those things helped them get through those times. For example, mommy and daddy said lots of prayers that they would be blessed with a child and now they have ME!!! :) Then when mommy and daddy found out that they were pregnant they said lots of prayers that I would be healthy! Mommy tells me sometimes she thinks that if she didn't believe in the power of prayer and didn't have faith in God that she doesn't know how she would have gotten through certain things. One of the hardest years of her life was this past year when her sister, my aunt Kristi (my Godmother), was diagnosed with and battled the horrible disease of breast cancer. Mommy says that one of her most favorite prayers and one she says every day is asking God to watch over and protect all of her loved one's and to keep them safe and healthy. But mommy also told me it's important to not only pray to ask God for things but to pray to thank him for all of the blessings in our lives too!

So to make a long story short....well I guess this story is already kinda long... but most importantly mommy and daddy just want me to know that as I grow up and experience difficult times or have difficult decisions to make that I do not have to go through these things alone....that I can pray to God and ask for his help, strength, and guidance. After my baptism was over, we had a cookout and it was a beautiful day to sit outside, visit with family, and eat!!! :)

Happy First Fourth of July To ME!!!

I know, I'm a few days late but mommy, daddy, and I have just been soooooooooooo busy. We were suppose to go visit my gammy and poppy in Dayton for the 4th but mommy and daddy decided they had a lot they needed to do here in Cleveland so we stayed here. Mommy and daddy worked all weekend...painting some in the house and redecorating a little and daddy spent about 4 hours in the yard making it nice and pretty. My baptism is this weekend so they wanted to get things all ready! I helped by taking good naps and an exceptionally good one on Saturday...3.5 hours!!!!!! My next 4th of July will probably be more exciting (or maybe the one after that...whenever I get to go see the fireworks and LIKE THEM)!!! But I did celebrate a little by wearing my 4th of July onesie that my Aunt Lori gave me! It fit me just perfectly but I am getting big...like I said before...I do have TWO chins now. Well, it really doesn't help that I'm not quite strong enough to hold my head up completely straight...so I think that is what causes me to have two chins sometimes! :)

Showing off my dimples that I got from my daddy

So I got the best dimples from my daddy.....one on each of my cheeks!!! I just love to smile and show them off! I also got a dimple from my mommy too...in my chin...mommy says it's cute too! The dimple in my chin is only in my first chin though...not my second one! :) Mommy and daddy said it's okay to have two chins right now...that it means I'm getting the nutrients I need to be a healthy, strong, growing boy!

Usually the person that is laughing really hard also does the crying...not this morning...I was laughing and mommy was crying!

Mommy got me smiling this morning...then she got me giggling like crazy!!!! I was giggling so hard and smiling so big that mommy got tears in her eyes. I couldn't stop giggling at the funny things mommy was doing so mommy just continued to cry. Happy tears, of course!!! She was just so happy watching me giggle and was just thinking how wonderful and amazing I am and how lucky she is to have me and just how she loves me so so soooooo much!!! I can't wait to show daddy how I giggle!
