Colors!!!

Last week, da-da and I were playing with a toy that has all different color of balls. I picked up the yellow ball and said "lello." Da-da called out to ma-ma telling her that I know what color yellow is. Ma-ma thought maybe it was just a coincidence that I picked up the yellow ball and said yellow. Well, over the past week, I have been so interested in playing with these balls (which I hadn't given much attention over the prior couple of months). At first, I would pick up a ball and say a color. Sometimes I was right and sometimes I was wrong. Ma-ma would point out the correct color for me and then I would repeat it. I say all the colors of the rainbow really well; "red", "ng", "lello", "geen", "bue", "pple" and after a week of practicing....ma-ma says, it's no coincidence, I CAN point out my colors!!! I can't deny the fact that there is always room for improvement as I do mis-speak every once and a while.

Looking Through My Picture Albums!

Mommy has been so diligent with pictures of me and tries to stay on top of filling up my picture albums timely. I think I have around 6 or 7 albums already and that's after only a short 18 months....yikes, that means I could have 72+ picture albums by the time I'm 18!!! Well, my picture albums currently sit on top of my bookshelf in my playroom and lately I go in there and instead of going straight to my ball pit, or kangaroo climber, or drum, etc....I head straight to my bookshelf and....instead of pulling out one of my books...I point to my albums and (seriously) BEG for those "books" (aka. picture albums)! I LOVE looking through them and seeing all of my family members and myself! Mommy use to point everyone out to me but now I tell mommy who everyone is!!! I have "nicknames" for most everyone as I generally prefer to only say either the first or latter half of people's names. For example, Gammy is "Nee" and Poppy is "Pop". I do pretty good with Gramps and Nana!!! I can now say Aunt Lori....okay it's really just "Ri" right now! I say "Addie" like it's my job!!!! I am working on Aunt Kristi and Uncle Dustin and Aunt Stacey and Aunt Heather. As well as, Aunt Beth, Uncle Matt, Shawn, and Brian. My cousin Taylor is "Tae" and Kayla is "Kay." I would say I am doing quite well for being 18 months and given the fact that, unfortunately, I don't get to see everyone as much as I would like to.

I LOVE When My Gammy Comes To Visit!!!

My Gammy came to visit us last weekend and we were blessed with some beautiful weather! We took full advantage of the weather and spent much time outside! I took Gammy to Gym class and showed off for her! We went to my favorite park and the local park! We did a little shopping and fed the ducks and fish! We had a wonderful time and were so terribly sad when Gammy had to leave! I LOVE YOU, GAMMY, SOOOO MUCH!!! Thank you for coming to spend time with me!!!

Feeding the ducks with Gammy!

And the fish!!!

Me and MY Gammy!

Just another way of expressing our love....through a little "chalk art!"

Playing In The Leaves With My Neighbors!

Along with the beautiful weekend we had the second weekend of November came a fun opportunity to jump in a HUGE pile of leaves with my neighbors! After I assisted in raking the leaves into this enormous pile....

and observed the bigger kids jumping, not once...

but twice.....

I slowly got the courage...

to make my way closer to the pile...

I inspected a leaf or two....

and with all eyes on me.....

JUMPED!!!

Putting My Shoes On!

I can now "kind of" put my shoes. Though I need a little assistance to get them on all the way and have them match! :) I can get my foot in my gym shoe with the exception of my heel and I can get my Crocs on most of the way though they are a little snug with the fur so mommy has to give my foot a little extra push to make sure it's in all the way. I also do pretty good with pairing up the right foot and shoe!

Hanging out with my friend, "Bear.

"Bear" and I have become very good friends. I like to pretend to feed him, sit him on my potty, put him down my slide, put him on my bouncy zebra, take him in the car, and have him sit in a chair next to me while I eat. I also like him to sit on my construction truck with me!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

My second Halloween was a great one! I won cutest costume again in the neighborhood (ma-ma, da-da, and the Smith's said so)! I made a great duck! I quacked a little here and there and said "treat" when it was time to go up to the door and say "trick or treat"! I reached my little hand into the candy bowls and grabbed a handful to drop into my pumpkin. I thought it was very fun though I had no idea what it was that I was reaching for and will not get to taste ANY of it! :) A few of our neighbors did have something special for me (ie. play-dough and goldfish) which was great! We were out for about a half hour and went to about 9 houses! Prior to trick-or-treat starting my Gramps, Nana, and Aunt Heather came to visit me and see me all dressed up!

Fall Day at My Favorite Park!

This weekend, we also took advantage of one of the last semi-nice days of the year and headed to my favorite park, Preston's Hope, for awhile. I got all bundled up with a few layers of sweat shirts and my winter hat and stayed nice and toasty (except towards the end when the sun was starting to set and my hands were ffffrrrreeeezzziiinngggg). The cold hands didn't stop me though. I was having so much fun running around, playing with all of the things I like (probably for the last time this year), and playing in the sand that I didn't want to leave when mommy felt my hands and her and daddy said it was time to go. They had to carry me out of the park crying. :(

Nothing like playing in the sand with a winter hat on! :)

Digging for Dinosaur bones!
And building sand castles! Well, I actually just mostly watched another little boy build this and secretly waited for him to leave so....

I could do what I was tempted to do the whole time....SMASH IT!!!!

Then I visited with my Dinosaur friends!

And Mr. Alligator!

I tried to find a new hairstyle in the salon!

And I made some music!
Teeter-tottered!

Swung, while cracking up at da-da!!!

He is sooo funny!

Then I wanted to swing like the big boys do!

And then it was time to go home.

Halloween Party at My Gym!

I don't believe I have posted yet that I am now officially enrolled in Gym class!!! I go to My Gym (which I currently refer to as, "class") and typically go 3 times a week! I just started this month and I love it! So do mommy and daddy! It is going to be a wonderful winter activity for me. There's nothing better, really, than an having a hour to run around and play with all kinds of "gym" equipment for an hour on cold, snowy, winter days! I will post pictures of a one of my gym classes soon but in the meantime, here are a few pictures from the Halloween Party at the Gym which was a ton of fun!

The cutest wittle duck at the party...ME!

I LOVE puppets!!! At almost every gym class, we do something with puppets and it is one of my favorite activities! I especially love the fish and (of course) duck puppets!

They often set up the "circus" tent where we play with the puppets! I was happy to see they had it set up for the party too!
There was another duck at the party who liked the fish puppet too!
I rode on the flying swing!
Jumped on the trampoline (which I love)!

Crawled through the big, squishy ball!
Played with the bean bag toss!
Which I was excellent at!

Then I tried to hold all of the bean bags at once!

I went through the maze!

And down the slide and through the tunnel!
