Happy Halloween!!!

Happy Halloween!!! For my first Halloween I was a giraffe!!!! I won best costume in our neighborhood, in a contest that mommy and daddy made up and where mommy and daddy were the only judges....so maybe they were a little biased! :) We went trick-or treating for about 30 minutes which only ended up being....1, 2, 3, 4, 5 houses! At each house we stayed and chatted for a little bit..meeting more neighbors! Bailey came too! Mommy carried me and daddy carried Bailey. I got lots of good candy (which mommy has already almost finished)! Bailey even got a treat too! We had a great first Halloween but boy did it wear me out...I slept from 7:00 to 6:15 then was up for a quick feed and then slept until 9:15!

Mommy, daddy, Bailey, and I got Boo'd!!! That means someone left a basket of candy and other goodies on our doorstep, rang our doorbell, and ran. They also left us a little note explaining that we were Boo'd and how to play the game. Included in our goodies was this hat which was given just for me!

I had all of these toys sitting in my playroom waiting for me to turn 6 months! So now that I am, mommy and I took them ALL out to play with! If you drop balls in Mrs. Chicken she sings and her rings come off for me to...you guessed it...put in my mouth! I will learn my colors and shapes with my first set of blocks! And I will learn more colors and learn how to put things together and pull them apart with this my big bead-looking toys! I really liked playing with these because.....yep....you're right again....because I can try to eat them!!! :)

Oh, and mommy and daddy have been really encouraging me to practice sitting. Sometimes I get a little mad at them when they do this. Like in these two pictures...I was screaming at mommy because she wouldn't help me out of the sitting position! I was being big and strong and sitting so good (though I wasn't happy about it)!

Bananas!!!!

I tried fruit for the first time this week and boy was it good! Mommy made me bananas. She said that bananas are one of her and daddy's favorite fruits. Mommy, I think they are going to be one of my favorites too! Next up...Apples!

Avocado!

Avocado is such a great vegetable with so many wonderful nutrients....hmmmm or is it a fruit???? Either way, it's good!!! :)

My weekend at Aunt Kristi's (Gammy came to visit too)!!!

Last weekend daddy, mommy, Bailey, and I packed up and headed down to Columbus for the weekend. It was mommy and daddy's and gramps and Evelyn's annual Buckeye weekend! Every year the four of them camp out in the Holiday Inn on Lane, go to a great dinner Friday night and then go to a Buckeyes game on Saturday. The annual restaurant of choice is called Mitchell's and it is delicious!!! Mommy likes it because instead of a bowl of mints on the way out, they have a bowl of JELLY BEANS!!! Mommy says the best jelly beans ever, by the way! :) After dinner Friday night, mommy came back to Aunt Kristi's to stay with me and Uncle Dustin spent the night in the hotel with daddy (after the bars closed, of course). Saturday, before mommy left to go down to campus, we all played (me, Addison, Gammy, Aunt Kristi, Uncle Dustin, Bailey, and Wrigley). Mommy left mid-afternoon and gave me lots and lots of kisses before she left....it was going to be our first night apart. :( I had a great evening though. Gammy, Aunt Kristi, Uncle Dustin, Cousin Addison and Wrigley and Bailey took great care of me and entertained me! I slept really great for Gammy too...6:30ish to 5:15!!! And then after a quick feeding until 9ish! Thanks for taking such great care of me when mommy and daddy were away!! Mommy and daddy had a good time tailgating and going to the game....though it would have been even better is the Buckeyes won. :(

Butternut Squash!

What's for dinner you ask?!?! Butternut Squash!!! Once again, I helped mommy prepare my homemade butternut squash. I'm becoming quite the chef, I must say!!! Mommy knew this was going to be a messy one so she got me partially undressed (no pants) before we ate. Since my hands always follow the spoon into my mouth even before I have the chance to swallow my yummy veggies, my hands usually end up covered in very colorful veggies..which in the past have then helped to color my bottoms so mommy got smart this time! My squash was delicious and mommy was right...it sure was messy!

I'm such a big boy now so I like to feed myself!

My cousin Taylor is such a big girl now, the big 2, so she gave me her car that she has grown too big for. I played in it for the first time yesterday and had so much fun!!! I was pretending to drive by turning the steering wheel and beeping at all of the crazy drivers in my way. The steering wheel has all kinds of buttons on it that make a noise if you push them. I quickly learned the cause and effect of the noises and had the best time livening up our house yesterday with the pretty sounds! :) I even took a few minutes to check my handsome self out in the side mirror!!! :) Thanks Taylor for the fun car!!!

My big boy bathtub!

I have officially graduated from my yellow bear sponge to my big boy bathtub now!!! It has actually been about two weeks now but I have been so busy blogging about other things, I almost completely forgot to tell you all about my bathtub graduation! When we moved into our new house Mommy and I put Mr. Yellow Bear away for my little brother or sister (someday) and bought a brand new, shiny, white, big bathtub. Boy did I love it! I just recline back and relax in a nice warm tub of water and I kick my feet and splash, splash, splash too! Mr. Turtle The Temperature Taker bathes with me so he can tell mommy and daddy if the water is too hot, too cold, or just right!
