Visit with our old neighbors!

We have missed our old next door neighbors, Paul, Kim, and Sarah soooo much since we have moved. Four and a half months later.....they came to our new house for a fun visit and a good dinner!!! It was so nice catching up with them and seeing them. I had a great time with Sarah! She's just about as sweet as my cousin, Addison, so I tried to eat her too!!!! :)

Mommy and Kim have the same days off so once Spring comes we are going to get together alot for play dates at the park!

My first Valentine's Day!

I didn't just get to spend Valentine's Day with mommy and daddy and Bailey, I also got to spend it with Gammy, Aunt Kristi, Uncle Dustin, Cousin Addison and Cousin Wrigley! We had a great time in Columbus and can't wait to get back there and see everyone again. I had such a fun time playing in my cousin's playroom and I had even more fun trying to eat her!!! :) See the related pictures below! :)

I love to splash myself (and mommy) while I am in my bathtub! Mommy says she should wear a poncho when she gives me a bath!!! :)

Swimming!!!

Mommy and I went swimming yesterday and you should have seen me.....I am the next Michael Phelps in the making. Woops, mommy just said that Michael Phelps guy did something that was very "wrong" and that if I want swimming to be "my thing" that I should strive to be the next gold medal record holder in Olympic swimming....not to be the next Michael Phelps...and that she will explain why someday when I am much older!

I spent the majority of the time on my tummy, kicking my legs and moving my arms!!! Mommy were those tears of pride or splashes of water, from me kicking so hard, on your face!?!?! We also spent some time sitting on the slide so I could splash some more and we swam through the make-shift lazy river!!! Mommy also helped me practice floating on my back and she showed me how to blow bubbles in the water!

Daddy came near the end during his lunch break to watch me!!!

I loved the pool sooooo much so mommy and I are going to make this a regular weekly event on her days off and we are going to go on the weekends too so daddy can see me in action!!!

Big people food!!!

Just because I still don't have ANY teeth yet (yes, I am almost 10 months and still no teeth...not even a sign that one wants to start poking through...other than loving to chew on my fingers, mommy and daddy's fingers and their noses and cheeks and chins and anything else I can get a good latch onto) doesn't mean I am still limited to only puree's! I have been eating cut up banana for awhile now and my puffs (of course) and recently I have shown signs that I would much rather pick up my food and feed myself than be fed by mommy and a spoon! Mommy confirmed with my doctor that even though I don't have teeth to help me chew food, my gums are just about as hard as teeth are and will do just as good of a job as teeth would do! YAY!!!! So what did mommy and I immediately do?!?!? We made our list, went to the grocery, and bought all kinds of things for me to eat that I can pick up with my own wittle fingers! We bought cheese slices, canned fruit cocktail, green beans, peas, mixed veggies, edamame, mac and cheese, cheerios, Ritz crackers, etc! YUUUMMMMMMMYYYYYY!!!!!!!!! Though I always have a tray full of food to feed myself I still let mommy get in a couple spoonfuls of my purees and cereal...she's really good at sneaking them in when I am concentrating so hard on getting the sweet little morsels (yes, that includes green beans and peas too) off my tray and in my sweet little fingers!

Gammy and Poppy's visit

Gammy and Poppy came to visit me (and mommy, daddy, and Bailey, of course) this past Saturday and Sunday. We had a great weekend just hanging out! I showed off big time for them....showing them how I get around, how I play ball with Bailey, and how I clap and say YAY!!! Gammy, poppy, and I played lots, cuddled lots, and poppy read me lots and lots of stories!!! I was just on cloud nine the whole time gammy and poppy were here and when they had to leave I stared at the door for a long, long time waiting for them to come back in (seriously)! I was sooo sad....so was mommy...she always is after a visit with her mommy and Phil is over.
