Starting to Get Really Comfortable on My Potty!

This past Sunday, I went pee-pee on my potty 3 times and poo-poo 1 time!!! I was so excited about my accomplishment that a couple times I stood up too quick, before I was completely finished....ummmm, yeah, more "fun" for mommy! :) After going potty, I receive a "special treat" which is a smartee or two or three! This is a very exciting incentive for me however, it has it's cons too. Sometimes, I say I want to go potty and sit on the potty for a few seconds with no success and then I whine, and whine, and whine for a special treat.

Dancing to Barney!!! I'd Say I'm Pretty Stinkin' Cute!

2 yr Pediatrician

I had my 2 year pediatrician appointment last week. Dr. Sangree was so happy to see me and said I looked great!!! She was so impressed with my language and the fact that I spoke in sentences that she was practically speechless! She started to ask mommy and daddy how my speech was as soon as she walked in the door but before she could even get her full sentence out, I had headed over to the book shelf, grabbed a book, brought it back to mommy and asked her, "mommy, can you read this one to Noah?"

The appointment consisted of a very quick eye exam which showed my vision was great, a weight, height, and circumference of head measurement, a look in my ears (as I had a little cold at the time), and a check of my heart and lungs. It did not consist of any vaccines, yay!!! However, I did have to get blood drawn to test for lead. Boo. :( (This is commonly done if one lives in a older home. Fortunately, our home is newer but with me going to my sitter's somewhat older home part of the week, Dr. Sangree wanted to check my blood just to be on the safe side).

I weighed 30.5 lbs which is in the 75th percentile, I was 35 1/4 inches tall which is also in the 75th percentile and my head was 48.75 cm which is in the 50th percentile.

My Birthday Party!!!

My 2nd birthday party was held on my actual birthday, Sunday, April 18th. It was a train-themed party and mommy (with Gammy's assistance and company into the wee hours of the night)! Gammy, Poppy and Addie came up Friday to spend the entire weekend with us and the rest of the party goers came on Sunday for the party! Addie and I had a GREAT weekend playing with each other and mommy, daddy, gammy, and poppy had a great weekend just being together. I'd have to say all 6 of us (plus Bailey) were completely pooped by the end of the weekend! Mommy wanted me to thank Gammy and Poppy again for all of their help last weekend!

I had so much fun at my party visiting with all of my guests, eating not 1 but 2 cupcakes, opening way too many gifts, and being the happy, loving, silly munchkin that I am!

Here is the AWESOME cake mommy made! Don't ask how long it took her to decorate but I can give you a pretty good idea by telling you she had tears in her eyes when she was cutting it!

This is my inchworm but what I call my caterpillar from mommy and daddy!
Mesmerized by the candle while everyone is singing, "Happy Birthday" to me!

Happy 2nd Birthday!

To our precious, sweet Noah,

Happy 2nd birthday! We felt unbelievably blessed the day you came into our lives two years ago have felt that way every single day since then. We loved you the day we found out that we had conceived you. We loved you even more than we ever thought we could love the second we laid eyes on you and held you. And our love for you grows stronger and deeper every day, though it hardly seems possible that we could love even more! You are a miracle! You have filled our lives with love, laughter, excitement, wonderful entertainment, and more happiness than words could ever describe. You amaze us with the new things you can do, the things you know and figure out on your own, the funny things you say, your memory, when you sing, and your ability to learn so much, so quick. Some of the highlights of your 2nd year are: learning to walk, then run, then jump, your ability to learn "sign" at such a young age and so quickly, your speech which you mastered so early and now can form sentences, blowing kisses, saying "I love you" (this made our hearts melt), going from a bottle, to a sippy cup, to a straw cup, to a cup with just a slit, moving out of your highchair into a booster seat at the table, using a fork and spoon, talking on the phone, learning your colors, numbers, animal noises, and so much more, being interested in sitting on the potty, getting a mouthful of teeth, singing (oh, your singing…you sound like an angel. You can sing so many songs but a few of our favorites are Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star, Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes, Mr. Sun, Where is Thumper, and Wheels on the Bus), gym class (you love gym class and have learned so much from it), your first haircut, and our first vacation (you enjoyed every second of it and we enjoyed watching you take everything in, find joy in everything you saw and did, and be so incredibly happy)!

You have taught us so much (maybe even more than we have taught you) but two of the most important things you have taught us are the importance of patience and to appreciate even the smallest things in life such as a ride on a shuttle bus, watching the birds, and lawn mowers!

YOU, our sweet boy, are AMAZING!!! Please don't ever forget how precious and miraculous your life is, your self worth, that you have the ability to do whatever you set your mind to, that you are amazing, and that YOU ARE LOVED (more than you could ever imagine and more than words could ever describe)!

We love you!
Love,
Mommy and Daddy

Easter 2010!

Mommy and I headed down to Columbus on Friday to celebrate Easter weekend. My cousin, baby Chase, was being baptized on Easter so Aunt Kristi and Uncle Dustin's house became the gathering point this year! The weather was gorgeous so Addie and I enjoyed playing outside on Friday. Saturday we attended a fun Easter festival type event where we played in bounce houses, got our faces painted, visited with the fire engine and firefighters, and watched a helicopter drop 8,000 eggs into a field for us to collect! The event was a blast! Easter morning, Addie and I searched for our baskets that the Easter Bunny hid and then excitedly looked through them! Also, daddy came down first thing in the morning for the Chase's baptism. (Daddy had been back home having a "guys weekend.") Daddy has the special honor of being Chase's Godfather!!!! :) After the baptism, Aunt Kristi and Uncle Dustin served a delicious brunch and then......it was time for us to head back north.

We had a wonderful weekend visit and per usual I enjoyed every second of my time with Addie, Gammy, Aunt Kristi, Uncle Dustin and baby Chase...and mommy too, of course!!!

When we arrived back in Cleveland we stopped by Aunt Stacey's to visit with Daddy's side of the family! There I received my 4th Easter basket of the day (I'm one lucky little boy), played with cousin Taylor, and ate a bite of a delicious brownie but what I thought was "toast!" Blame the confusion on mommy who rightly so doesn't let me over-indulge in sweets very often/ever or the fact that toast had been one of the few foods in my diet during that previous week as I had a little case of diarrhea.

Baby Chase's baptism (Aunt Lori is his Godmother, Daddy is his Godfather).
