Me and my Grandpa Sacksteder

This past weekend was extra special because I got to meet my Grandpa Sacksteder for the first time and I got to see him three times in one weekend! It was so special to see him and I enjoyed every minute even during the last visit when I may not have necessarily showed my enjoyment since I was very hungry and very tired...not a good combo!

I played ball with Grandpa....

Smiled with Grandpa....

And showed Grandpa what a good eater I was!

Me and daddy!

I love you daddy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You are the best daddy in all the world!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gammy's Birthday Party!

Gammy's birthday party (1 day before her birthday) was so much fun! Mommy and Aunt Kristi and Aunt Lori worked very hard to pull everything together and it turned out great! We had it at a very nice park and there was alot of room for all of my cousins to run around and play! The weather turned out beautiful and all of those important to Gammy (our family and Gammy's friends) came to her party.

Gammy posed with her two wonderful grandchildren during breakfast.

Gammy and me at the party!

Mommy and me!

I had a great time playing with my second cousin Will who is just a few months younger than me!

A trip to The Green (by Gammy's house in Dayton)

Mommy, daddy, Bailey and I went to Dayton last weekend for Gammy's 60th birthday. My Aunt Beth just happened to be graduating from Medical School that weekend too! Yes, Medical School! Aunt Beth is really, really smart and is now a DOCTOR! She has worked hard for many years and is going to be a great doctor! Aunt Beth's graduation was past my bedtime so daddy and I stayed home/at Gammy's while mommy went to the graduation.

Saturday when we woke up we found out the my cousin Addison did not have a good night as she was not feeling good and was up most of the night. Addison was really sad Saturday morning and was not feeling well at all so Aunt Kristi, Uncle Dustin, Gammy and Poppy took her to Children's Urgent Care. They were there for a really long time so daddy, mommy, and I went up to The Green to walk around. It was a beautiful day to go for a stroll around the outdoor shopping area! Plus, we needed to get Gammy's birthday present. When we got to The Green we were thrilled to see that it was "kids day!" They had balloon's, face painting, jugglers, puppet making, a story teller, etc! I got a balloon for myself and one for Addison and watched the juggler! It was so much fun but I wished Addison could have gone too. She would have loved it! The Green will have this again so we are all going to plan on going some other time!

Driving to The Green...are we there yet?!?!?

Mine and Addison's balloons!

This juggler is soooo cool!

Hey Mr., when are you going to juggle the knives?!?!

Mommy said the line was too long to get a face painting.

The story teller was really good!
Now we were off to the stores to get Gammy's present!

Driving my cars under the table

Playing with my cars is one of my favorite things to do. I drive them all over the floor, the furniture, the walls, and mommy and daddy! I make a great "motor" sound too while I drive my cars (and when we are out on walks and a car drives by, while we are driving in the car, and even when we are inside the house and I hear a loud car or truck outside)! The other day, I decided to drive my car under the table! :)

My 1 year pictures!

Last Saturday our wonderful photographer, Felicia, came over to take 1 year pictures of me and to take a few family pictures of me, mommy, and daddy. Of course, we had a beautiful day on Friday and then a rainy Saturday but we were able to go outside in between the rain showers and get a few pics outside too! I had a great time with Felicia and loved all of her camera equipment!!! The photo shoot was just about perfect timing too! Just a few days prior I had started to stand all by myself for a minute or so. Felicia took advantage of that milestone and snapped a few good photos of me standing. Who would have thought that I would take my first steps 2 days later!!! :)

Check out Felicia's website/blog to see a few of the pictures she took!!!

I took my first unassisted steps!!!!

Monday evening, on my 13 month birthday, I took my first steps, unassisted that is!!! I would take 5 or 6 steps and then fall, then take 7 or 8 steps and fall again!!! Mommy and daddy were so proud of me! I was quite proud of myself too which I showed by clapping for myself!!! :) I also thought this new walking thing was hilarious and would start laughing while I was walking! Oh, what a site! Mommy and daddy said it was priceless!

Yes, we were bribing...I mean encouraging him with some crackers!

Going for a ride around the kitchen in the laundry basket!

Oh, the little things that entertain me (and break mommies back)!!! :) Mommy was trying to do some laundry but before she could put the clean clothes into the laundry basket, I had to go for one quick ride around the kitchen! Zoom, zoom mommy!!!

Happy Mother's Day to the BEST mommy in the entire world!!!

Mother's Day was May 10th and mommy, daddy, and I had such a great day!!!
I love my mommy so much and give her hugs and kisses (slobbery kisses, that is) all the time. I gave her a few extra on Mother's Day!!! :) Mommy and I went for a swim while daddy cut the grass and then we headed over to my Aunt Stacey's house for a cookout with my Nana, Aunt Heather, Gramps, Kayla, Taylor, Uncle Brian and Evelyn.

Mommy and daddy's vacation to Las Vegas!

Well, mommy and daddy have been back for a while now but I have just been so busy enjoying the Spring weather that I haven't taken much time to update my blog. Remember, what city I spent my first Winter in, now can you blame me?!?!?

Mommy and daddy spent a few days in Vegas to celebrate their 4-year wedding anniversary! And while they were there, daddy just so happened to be bowling in a big tournament. J/K, it's actually the other way around. Daddy was asked to bowl in a National tournament in Vegas and it just so happened to fall during their anniversary so mommy and daddy decided to make a little vacation out of it. I do have to say, my daddy is a great, terrific, amazing...oh, I could go on and on....bowler!

They had great weather and relaxed by the pool, gambled a little, daddy bowled a little and mommy watched once, they enjoyed some nice dinners and a few glasses of wine, and had a great time....but missed me terribly!!!

In the meantime, I was having a great time with my Gammy. We played with all of my toys, went on many walks, I slept and ate great for Gammy, and loved, loved, loved every second of it (I don't get to see my Gammy as often as I would like since she lives 3.5 hours away)! Gammy took such good care of me! Thanks Gammy, I LOVE YOU!!!! But....I did miss my mommy and daddy terribly!!!

There's my daddy, the first one in the white and blue shirt!
There's daddy, again! The second one.
Good luck, daddy!
Mommy and daddy on their anniversary!

My new car seat!

It has been a few weeks now...but I have graduated from my infant carrier/car seat and have moved on to a convertible car seat. It's almost like moving from a Twin size bed into a California King size bed! Wooohoooo!!!! Mommy and daddy are going to keep me rear-facing as long as they possibly can since it is the safest way for me to ride!

Loving all the room in my new car seat!

Playing on my climber!

My gramps got me this AWESOME climber for my birthday! It is going to help me get big and strong like my daddy! I climb up the slide and then slide down the slide and do this over and over again until I get tired! :) I also tried climbing up the wall (it's like a miniature rock-climbing wall) the other day and with daddy's help, I made it to the top! YAY!!!!

We originally had this outside but I am not a huge fan of the grass right now so we moved it inside and ever since it has gotten much, much, much more use!!!

Here I go....Wheeee!

Ewwww...grass!!!!

Up I go!

And down I go, again!
Wheeeee!
Now that Spring has officially arrived in Cleveland, we spend alot of time outside (with my sunhat, sunscreen, and sometimes sunglasses on to protect my perfect, flawless skin (mommy says))!
Posing for the camera!

Riding my bike!

My Aunt Kristi, Uncle Dustin, Cousin Addison, Aunt Beth, and Uncle Matt gave me this SUPER cool bike for my birthday! I couldn't wait to ride it so I helped daddy put it together so I could ride it sooner!!! I even had a mini-screwdriver to use that fit my little hands perfectly! After we tightened all of the screws we were ready to take it for a ride around the block! It was sooooo much fun!

Walking with my truck!

I haven't mastered walking by myself yet but I do know how to get around with my walkers! I am a little speed racer too! I can even steer pretty well (sometimes) to avoid getting stuck by walls and if those silly walls do get in the way, I just back up a little and re-direct myself.

And I'm off.....

Okay, mommy, I will stop for a few poses!

Okay, mommy, you get your way again. I will take my hand out of my mouth for this ONE picture!

Here I go again!

Here I come Daddy and Bailey!

C'mon mommy!

My rocking chair!

I love to "rock, rock" in my OSU rocking chair (while holding my fire truck, of course)! Don't I look like such a little toddler?!?! :)

I am quite the monkey too and climb on anything and everything....from my rocking chair ottoman to mommy and daddy to the kitchen table chairs, etc!
