During mommy's research of things to do in Hollywood, she read about the Hollywood Arts Park. Mommy was really excited to go there during our vacation because she read about jugglers, and face painters, and unicyclists, and splash fountains, etc. It sounded like so much fun! She asked someone at our hotel how far it was and he said about 1 mile. So one evening we decided to head to the park which was also near several restaurants and shops in Hollywood. I climbed in the stroller and we started our walk. After about 10 minutes, mommy checked out the map to see how close we were getting thinking it was going to be right ahead of us. Another 10 minutes went by and another and so on and so forth until 6 10 minutes went by! Yes, we had been walking for an hour and the park had just come into sight. Mommy had spent the latter 4 10 minutes telling me (and daddy) that we were almost there. When we finally arrived, we looked around for the jugglers and face painters and so no one. We looked around for the other park equipment (ie. slides, swings, teeter-totters) and saw none of them. We did see a few big round discs that moved as you walked on them....and that's about it. Cue mommy's tears, disappointment, and frustration. Mommy knew I was looking around for the swings and slides too which didn't help mommy's emotions. We had passed a couple daycare playgrounds which I had asked if I could play at and mommy said we were going to another park. Little did she know this park would have no swings or slides. After spending oh, 5 minutes or so at the "Arts Park" we decided to walk just a little further to find restaurants though none of us felt like walking (or riding in the stroller) for another second. Fortunately, we found another park wirh a playground just two blocks further! Can you guess how happy this made mommy? And me???? We played on the playground for a little bit and then headed to a restaurant. In the meantime, mommy and daddy had decided there was no way that we would be able to walk back to the hotel....it was hard enough for me to sit still in the stroller for an hour the way there! After we ate a very delicious dinner, we hitched a taxi and enjoyed a relaxing 3.5 mile ride back to the hotel. Yes, 3.5 miles not 1 mile like the man told mommy at the hotel!!!!
