One of the FEW advantages of living in Cleveland...DEER!

Yes, I know there are deer in other places but mommy says there are alot more of them up in the Cleveland area than she had ever seen in Dayton or Columbus. Gammy does get a deer every now and then that wonders into her backyard but mommy doesn't think she ever saw a deer in Columbus. She is sure there are some that live there too but just not anywhere near that crazy Ohio State campus. If students can light couches on fire and tip over cars.....whose to say what they would do if a deer crossed their path. See deer are to smart all you people who say they aren't!!!!

Since mommy has lived in Cleveland she has seen tons of deer. When mommy first moved here and her and daddy lived in an apartment in Aurora, mommy would always see deer when she was out for her runs. Usually the deer didn't run as mommy ran by them and mommy would pick up the pace and wouldn't take her eyes off them because she was scared they would run after her and get her. Silly mommy!!!! Then when mommy and daddy lived in our first house in Lyndhurst, we often had deer in our front yard and in our neighbors backyard (ours was fenced in....good thing we never saw a deer in there)! For awhile mommy and daddy had an injured mommy deer that hung around our neighborhood (often with her baby by her side...awwww). Every time mommy would see the injured deer, she would ask daddy to go get her and put her in his car so we could take her to the vet to get fixed. :( Daddy said he didn't think that he would be able to catch her. :( Daddy, the injured deer is still alive, right? We haven't seen her in a very long time.

Now that we have moved back to Aurora there was no doubt that we would be seeing lots of deer again! Well, I had my first "real" encounter with this beautiful animal a few weeks ago. The reason I say "real" is because a while back, if you remember, from one of my older posts....we encountered an injured deer down near my great Aunt's in Cesar Creek but fortunately I was still very young and sleeping in the car and didn't witness the happenings.

Bailey made us all aware that they were hanging out in our backyard as he was going nuts at the windows and running around the house like a crazy dog! We all watched them until Bailey's barking scared them off.

No, this is not the forest...it really is our backyard! Cool, huh?!?!

And for all of you Non-Clevelander's...how do you like one of our many "dustings" of snow already this winter?!?! Jealous!?!? Hardly, I know! :)
